Sixties Electric Lang

Anyone who knows about Langs knows that this is not original.  Some fool cut into this rare Lang and put pickups and wiring into it.  On the one hand it is ruined as a collectors item but on the other hand I'll put it up against any electric archtop anywhere.  When I played it I was in Jazz Guitar Heaven.  Whoever choped this beautiful instrument didn't know what he was doing but what would seem unthinkable gave me the best sounding electric jazz guitar I own.

It is beat up and scrufty but the neck is perfect and the sustain is out of this world.  Every note and chord vibrates through the instrument and into your chest as you play it.  Your fingers become part of the neck because the notes stick to your hands.  I find myself playing faster and cleaner than ever before on this baby.   It simply does what a jazz guitar is supposed to do.

What's so great about it as well is that it is so funky and scrufty that you don't feel nervous about playing it.  It invites you to play it.  This baby was borne to gig and that is what I do with it.  I believe that Artur would have approved of it.
